Shinano 20mm x 520mm Pneumatic Belt Sander SI-2800

The belt sander is well-made, practical, and does its primary function. The time it takes to alter a belt is really brief. I recommend using hearing protection because it may get rather loud, especially at higher RPMs. The cover over the belt wheel was a wonderful touch that also stayed in line with the safety trend with shinano tools.

This tool is nicely crafted, but I've grown to expect that from Japanese-produced products because those people take manufacturing very seriously. This particular tool was built with great attention to detail and functions well. It's nice to have this level of quality at this price point for a change. Recommend!

Because I've been using the smaller version of this tool for years, I was going to buy another one until I spotted this online and read the reviews. I made the choice to try it, and I'm glad I did. Like my last one, it's excellent. With quick and simple modifications, the belts fit perfectly. In addition, it appears to grind flatter than the others I've used, rather than leaving a little hollow. You get a lot for your money here.

I've enjoyed excellent results with this product. I've primarily used it to remove rust and remove spot welds. It runs with my 4.5 cfm compressor, however you must pause and wait for the compressor to catch up. On my 9 cfm unit, it would work without a hitch. excellent for small spaces. The belts can be changed easily and remain firmly in place.

This is a very good belt sander. I've used it on car restorations as well as a bunch of wood working projects. Including chamfering edges when welding. Removes spot welds like they are nothing. The belt changing system is awesome, much better than other brands I have used. Great product.
