The MAXXEON DROID WorkStar® 500 is the premier rechargeable, commercial grade, professional LED mini headlamp, with more features and better performance than the competition.
USB Rechargeable: Instead of constantly buying expensive AA or AAA batteries, just plug DROID into any USB jack. DROID includes a powerful, rechargeable Li-Po (Lithium Polymer) battery pack that provides long run times in a small package.
Tilt: Easy on your neck! Tilt the light head down from horizontal (0°) to vertical (-90°), through 8 indented positions.
Comfort: Comfort is important. Weighing in at less than 4 oz, DROID is barely there! DROID's headrest includes a comfortable foam pad and the nylon headband easily adjusts to any head size.
Included: The commercial grade WorkStar® 500 includes a micro USB cord.

Performance

400 Lumens: The DROID WorkStar® 500 has 2 brightness settings: 400 lumens on High with a run time of 2 hr and 160 lm on Low with a run time of 5 hr.
Round Beam: DROID creates a perfectly round beam, without rings, shadows, or hot spots, using an array of 7 daylight white LEDs and a custom wide angle lens.
Charging Time: Four green LEDs work in 25% increments to show the battery level while in use and while charging. Charge time is about 2 hr.

Sturdy: The rugged WorkStar® 500 DROID commercial grade professional LED mini headlamp is designed for daily use by technicians in demanding shop, manufacturing and maintenance environments. The tough ABS and TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) body are virtually indestructible.
Reliability: The power switch is rated at 50,000 cycles and is sealed to avoid contamination by dirt and grit. The micro USB jack is tested for 10,000 insertions. The bulbs/LEDs are rated for over 50,000 hr.
Drop Testing: It's a fact, tools drop. DROID is tested for 20 random drops from 6 ft.
Ingress Protection: It's good to know that DROID is designed for real world conditions. It has an IP65 rating, meaning that it is dust and water resistant, including protection from rain, sprays and water splashing from all directions.
Impact Test: The impact rating is IK07, which means it can withstand hits of up to 2 Joules or about 1.5 ft-lbs.
Temperature Range: DROID will work over the standard professional operating range of 15º to 105ºF.
