Air Regulators

Set a stable working pressure for your pneumatic tools and equipment. These compact air regulators and filter-regulators help protect downstream equipment from pressure swings while supporting a clean air supply. Choose a filter-regulator when you need water and particulate control at the same point of use.

Current options: compact 1/4 in NPT filter-regulator units for individual workstations and a 3/8 in NPT dual-stage filter-regulator option for higher-flow applications. Confirm port size, pressure range, flow requirement, and drain style before ordering.

How to choose an air regulator

Regulator sizing essentials

  • Port size: match the regulator to the actual line connection; do not assume all fittings use the same thread size or standard.
  • Flow: choose a unit with enough rated flow for the tool's peak air demand so pressure remains stable while the tool is running.
  • Pressure range: the unit must cover the equipment's recommended working pressure.
  • Filtration: choose a filter-regulator when moisture and particulates are a concern at that air drop.
  • Drain style: use a manual drain where inspection is routine or an auto/semi-auto drain where supported by the application.

A regulator controls downstream pressure; it cannot make an undersized compressor or restricted hose deliver more air than the system can supply.

Air regulator FAQ

Where should an air regulator be installed?
Install it upstream of the pneumatic tool or equipment it serves, with the flow direction matched to the marking on the unit.

Do I need a separate filter and regulator?
Not necessarily. A compact filter-regulator combines both functions and saves space. Separate modular components can make sense when the application needs a different filtration level or configuration.
